Bipolar TURP Set – Advanced Instrumentation for Modern Prostate Surgery

Product Introduction

The Bipolar TURP Resectoscope Set is designed for transurethral resection procedures using saline irrigation. The bipolar system conducts current through the cutting electrode itself rather than passing current through the patient’s body, supporting controlled electrosurgical resection. The working element is designed for use with a 4 mm, 30° telescope and a rotatable TURP sheath.

Why Choose Advin Bipolar TURP Set?

  • Designed specifically for minimally invasive BPH surgery.
  • Supports controlled prostate tissue resection with bipolar energy.
  • Saline irrigation helps avoid the classic TUR-syndrome mechanism associated with non-saline monopolar irrigation.
  • Precision-engineered components provide smooth handling and reliable visualization.
  • Reusable construction offers long-term value for hospitals and urology centers.
  • Manufactured by Advin Health Care with a focus on precision, durability, and clinical reliability.

Instructions for Use

  1. Inspect all components and confirm that the instruments are clean, intact, and properly sterilized.
  2. Assemble the resectoscope, telescope, working element, sheath, and compatible bipolar electrode according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  3. Connect the bipolar working element to the compatible electrosurgical generator.
  4. Establish continuous irrigation using sterile normal saline.
  5. Introduce the resectoscope carefully through the urethra under direct visualization.
  6. Perform prostate tissue resection using controlled bipolar energy and appropriate irrigation.
  7. Maintain adequate visualization throughout the procedure and remove resected tissue as required.
  8. Complete the resection and carefully withdraw the resectoscope.
  9. Insert an appropriate urinary catheter according to the surgeon’s clinical protocol.
  10. Disassemble, clean, inspect, and sterilize reusable components according to the manufacturer’s validated reprocessing instructions.

Market Demand and Global Trends

Bipolar TURP remains an important surgical technology for the treatment of symptomatic benign prostatic obstruction. The technique has gained broad acceptance because it combines established TURP efficacy with saline irrigation and a more favorable perioperative safety profile than monopolar TURP.

The continued prevalence of BPH and lower urinary tract symptoms supports ongoing demand for TURP instrumentation in hospitals and urology centers. Modern urology departments are also increasingly integrating bipolar TURP with advanced endoscopic cameras, irrigation systems, and high-performance electrosurgical generators to improve procedural workflow.
